Legend Oaks

The very name, Legend Oaks brings up images of trees, old oak trees and that is exactly what happened in Legend Oaks. Builders had the foresight to spare the trees and build these fabulous homes.  Built from 1987 to about 2000 the homes are mostly all brick with some native Texas white stone tossed in.  Brick comes in the traditional dark red, a soft rose, grey, and tan or all colors of the rainbow.

The homes in Legend Oaks are from 1,450 sq ft to over 3,100 square feet… something for every size family.  Many are 1 story although as in most of Austin the 2 story home is very popular.  Most are at least 3 bedrooms and many are 4 bedrooms and there is an occasional home with 5 bedroom.

Brick exteriors are common and one sees arched windows, sidewalks, several parks and greenbelts are available for outdoor living.

How Do I Get to Legend Oaks?

From Mopac (loop 1) traveling South exit William Cannon and go West, right,  at Escarpment go LEFT and there on both sides of Escarpment is Legend Oaks.  Travel down to Convict Hill to the beginning of Villages of Western Oaks.

What Prices will I expect in Legend Oaks?

Average lower prices in Legend Oaks is around $249,900.  Although I have seen one at $205,000…  prices going up to $379,000 will vary on the size of the home and the size of the lot, and of course upgrades.   These are prices today, from the Austin Board of Realtors..  Feb 2009.
