Where is Allandale?
Allandale is located in central Austin bordered on the East by Burnet Rd., the South by Allandale Rd. (2222), on the West by Mopac (Loop 1), and on the North by Hwy. 183. It is a very convenient commute to downtown Austin.
What is Allandale Like?
Allandale is a very popular location. Most of the homes were built from the early 1950′s to the latter 1960′s. They range in price from $180,000 to $500,000. Several of these homes have been remodeled and updated over the years. The area has Shoal Creek running through it, mature trees, and a park and pool. The children go to Gullett elementary, Lamar middle school, and McCallum high school in the Austin school district.
Allandale Shopping Areas
Allandale is convenient to several great shopping areas. There are several stores for all types of merchandise located on Burnet Road that borders Allandale on the East. Northcross Mall and two large shopping centers are located on Anderson Lane on the North side of Allandale.
