Tarrytown is located in central Austin.  It is on the East side of Mopac ( Loop1 ), the South side of 35th. St., the North side of Lake Austin Blvd., and is bordered by Lake Austin on the West.

What is Tarrytown Like?

Tarrytown is a very popular place to live because it is a few minutes from downtown Austin, yet is a very luxurious quiet setting with many grand homes that were built many years ago.  Most of the homes were built starting in the early 1940′s and there have been several demolished with a larger new home in their place.  The homes in the area are priced from around $200.00 per square foot to over $400.00 per square foot.  There are several “historical homes” still remaining in Tarrytown.  It has easy access to Lions Municipal golf Course, Reed Park & Pool, the 22 acre Mayfield Preserve nature park, and Westwood Country Club.  It is attractive to the working executive family and retired couples.
